Hey folks - you heard right…

We’re bringing the legendary Punk Rock Journalist/Author/Raconteur LEGS MCNEIL to town, along with his esteemed literary collaborator GILLIAN MCCAIN. They’ll read from both of their books (including PLEASE KILL ME! The Uncensored History of Punk as well as a new, not-yet-published work) and then take your questions about the glory days of the ORIGINAL punk scene.

Afterwards, award-winning local DJ KZL (aka SUPERHORSE and GAM frontman KEITH KOZEL) spins classic old-school punk records onstage, while everyone gets their drink on and their books signed at what can only be described as an ultra-casual AFTERPARTY!

All this happens on Tuesday night, January 29th at the wonderful venue that is the BAY STREET THEATER.

Electrifying artist WEBB WILDER, the “Idol of Idle Youth,” is a living legend of alt.country and roots-rock who’s a SIX-TIME Grammy Nominee, and whose last live CD hit #1 on the Roots-Rock Charts.

The Nashville-based guitarist and singer was recently inducted into the Mississippi Musicians’ Hall of Fame (he’s originally from Hattiesburg), and since he burst on the scene with his completely unique blend of Country, Rockabilly, R&B, Surf, British Invasion-esque Blues, Deep Southern Soul and Hard Rocking Boogie, he’s earned a legion of devoted and fiercely loyal fans worldwide.

Some of you might also know him from his long stint as one of XM Satellite Radio’s most popular DJs (on their X Country station).

Think of a cross between JOHNNY CASH, ELVIS COSTELLO, THE ROLLING STONES, THE VENTURES, WAYLON JENNINGS, NRBQ, BADFINGER, TOM PETTY, THE KINKS, AC/DC, DAVE EDMUNDS, THE YARDBIRDS, JASON & THE SCORCHERS, HOWLING WOLF, CHEAP TRICK and BIG STAR and you might come close to the one and only WEBB WILDER.

His backing group THE BEATNECKS consists of some of the very finest veteran musicians in Nashville - and much like their brethren NRBQ, they can mop the floor with most any rock, country, blues, surf or soul act you wanna throw at ‘em - and put a big grin on your face while they’re doin’ it.

For this show, Webb and his amazing band will play two full sets with an intermission.

There’s no opening act, so don’t be late!

This is Knocked Out Loaded’s first-ever show at Locos Grill & Pub on Broughton Street - which has a top-notch sound and light system, and if there’s a strong turnout, we’ll bring more internationally-known rock, blues, country and soul acts to this venue.
